Foundations of Design: Representation has exposed me to a deeper understanding of relationships between elements of design. These conceptual principles were vast and intricate like, orthographic representations, perspective and projection, pattern and developable surfaces, digital fabrication, and more. The lecture series combined with the curated set of readings really helped gain a closer understanding of these concepts from a theoretical standpoint as well as how they are explored in the design industry. The studio workshops further developed practical applications of these relations and how they can be balanced to create a form of representation.
